The opportunity
We are looking for a Senior Analyst (Project Accounting), Finance Operations with a key focus on timely invoicing, approving project expense etc. The Senior Analyst (Project Accounting), Finance Operations is responsible for timely billing of invoices post coordination with Project Manager and business. Further he/she is also responsible to work with the team to set appropriate internal financial control for maintaining contracts, SOW etc. and support for all audit related queries.
Responsibilities
Effectively communicate with Project Managers (PM) and Principals-in-Charge/Sales, regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing
Timely prepare final invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup for approval by the Project Manager/Accounting Supervisor
Assess and pursue opportunities for maximization of client billing; communicate with the Revenue Assurance/Project Managers, as to your observations and actions taken
Research any unbilled issues to optimize the billing possibilities for the billing period
Maintain the billing folders for all projects, with all the appropriate documents, including expenses, consultant invoices, and monthly invoices, in accordance with standard procedures
Validate & approve project expenses within budget allocated and ensure that all billable expenses are billed back to client with proper supporting and on time
Bringing in process efficiency in invoice raising and ensuring that it’s reached to client POC and any other process improvement pertaining to AR operations
Working knowledge of boundary systems: Sales force, Oracle Fusion, share point etc. will be added advantage
Maintain cordial working relationships with Sales and business partner team on a need basis;
Capable of handling large market/accounts independently
Capable of managing Customer queries beyond the scope of Support function
Provide year-end support of auditor requirements, which may include research and reconcilement
Requirements (Desires skills & experience)
4-6 years of relevant experience in managing international clients/customers or experience in project accounting
Qualification – Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
Demonstrated ability to communicate financial information to people with a non-financial background. Sound communication skills, both verbal and written
Advanced Excel Spreadsheet skills
Understand basic Financial & Banking functions
Strong communication skills and capable of handling internal and external stake holders
