SHAREPOINT DEVELOPER
RESPONSIBILITIES
This role will be reporting to the IT Manager, Collaboration in Miami. Developer role within the
Global SharePoint Application Development team responsible for development, migration and
support of SharePoint applications and portals. This includes SharePoint Server 2010,
SharePoint 2013 on Premise and SharePoint Online.
Design and develop portal content and applications that integrate with other enterprise
systems (AX, CRM, Workday) and 3rd party products web parts and solutions.
Integrate non-SharePoint related services into SharePoint applications as directed.
Assist other developers, analysts, and designers in conceptualizing and developing web
applications.
Provide applications development and support expertise to end users, other members of
the IT application team and IT Service Desk
Migrate SharePoint 2010 and 2013 SharePoint content and applications to Office 265
SharePoint Online.
Participate in research on emerging web, SharePoint development tools and present
findings to IT management team.
Design and develop integration solutions between enterprise wide, SASS, custom-built and
other applications.
Experience using SharePoint language packs for SharePoint sites with various language
versions.
Participate in software evaluations and selections.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Debug, document, and support UAT/Prod releases in compliance with company’s standards,
policies, and procedures and change management.
Perform necessary technical tests of deliverables and gain business test sign-off – validate
expected tests results.
Provide support to major maintenance fixes and changes on all SharePoint sites.
Prepare material for the periodic training on Power BI for SharePoint lists and libraries.
Understand and comply with standards and procedures of security and compliance
requirements for Brightstar globally – follow development standards and release
management requirements in the creation of new solutions.
Maintain resource time by task/project.
Consolidate and summarize estimated timelines for proposed projects based on business
requirements.
Maintain and contribute to an environment where teamwork is fostered and encouraged.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s in computer science, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering &
Technology or comparative related fields’ certifications and experience.
Experience working with a variety of applications and technologies including SharePoint
Framework, .NET, VB, XML/XSL C#, and SQL Server.
Experience in Web development (HTML, DHTML, AJAX, CSS, JavaScript)
Expert knowledge of web, intranet, and portal technologies
Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with individuals at all
levels and develop successful relationships within the organization.
Skilled in working within a team-oriented collaborative environment highly self-motivated
and self-directed.
Major plus: Spanish Language.
Ability to work productively in a team, or independently to achieve significant output with
minimal supervision
