The below requirement is for Investment & Services (IFS) , a major arm of BNP Paribas Securities Services provides fund administration services by assisting our clients in clearing , settlement and custody of all asset classes for our clients. Position Purpose
The role of the Business Support Analyst sits within the Service Delivery Team which is part of the overall IT & Change division of BNP Paribas Securities Services (BP2S). The Business Support Analyst is responsible for:
Providing Hiportfolio and pControl users first and second level of support in relation to abnormal application behavior, queries, requests for static data setup and report creation.
Contribute to the promotion of best practice in terms of use of Hiportfolio and pControl.
Responsibilities
First/second level of support
Act as an entry point for all functional queries relating to Hiportfolio and pControl, including queries from clients
Provide troubleshooting and root cause analysis for instances where the application does not behave within expectation
Responsible for static data maintenance requests and controlling procedures to ensure static data requests are unambiguous and accurate
Handle first level support with information, updates and advice on the functional aspects of Hiportfolio and pControl
Assist with transition projects (client on-boarding) in providing support on set-up (account management and training).
Maintain health of the application by regularly reviewing system and application logs and either resolving, or providing guidance on resolution of errors detected
Ensure escalation to 3rd level support is properly handed over and stakeholders are aware of the responsibility change
Responsible for considering downstream impacts of business activity within applications
Assist with level one support across all applications alongside existing Client Support team
Contribute to overall management of the Hiportfolio and pControl applications:
Contribute to the creation and maintenance of standard training material
Actively contribute to product development and improvement, represent the customer voice:
Liaise with IT Change Management for change request analysis, testing and implementation services
Facilitate solution design via product knowledge or vendor consultancy
Participate in the vendor support monthly calls, where applicable
Advise on best practice for operating the applications within the organisation
Technical & Behavioral Competencies
Technical Competencies:

Functional Capabilities:
Atleast 2+ years knowledge of business analysis on fund accounting or operational knowledge or relevant experience within a fund accounting or BFSI industry in a senior associate/resource role.
Able investigate/troubleshoot your own business queries/doubts/issues using the application and data like, reconciling breaks in the report, investigating NAV issues, Pricing issues
A good understanding of different product types(equities, options, futures, bonds, funds, money markets, derivatives products) and able to clearly explain the behavioral differences towards NAV calculations & Unit pricing
A good understanding of price/ market data sources (exchange prices, Bloomberg/Reuters/Telukars/etc prices) which is used for NAV, Unit Pricing calculations
Willingness to help users and tech support team to understand the functionalities of the application when asked
Must have a hands-on experience in all the above points and must be able to demonstrate the abilities during the interview process
Preferred :
Basics of Banking or Capital Markets (Investments and Fund Accounting)
Pcontrol and Hiport Fund accounting products
