For a major initiative in BMC, a Digital Service and Operations Management team, BMC cloud platform team is looking for a Sr SQA Engineer.

Primary Role & Responsibilities:
You should be a mentor for consistently innovating in product or automation.
You will work with developers, architects, and other Quality Assurance team members to validate product functionality, via manual and automated execution of test cases
You should Identify end-user scenarios and pertinent test cases
Contribute to product and process improvements and refinement of QA practices
Understand product capabilities from the customers perspective
Showcase/demo product to customers and any other stakeholders, if required
Write test automation scripts using automation framework for regression testing
Problem-solving and debugging the product/automation issues
Automate the manual assignments in TestNG/Selenium
Contribute towards writing new automation framework / modify existing
Should implement strict processes for automation code
Should have experience in handling complex automation framework
Should be able to guide team members on automation
Provide technical help/expertise to team members who are diagnosing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex systems and/or software and/or automation code.
Keeps commitments and creatively addresses roadblocks/barriers
Responsible for all QA activities for one or many features – includes writing test scenarios, manual testing and writing backend (API) or UI side automation
Qualifications:
6+ years of experience in testing Enterprise products
Min 6+ years of exp on writing QA UI automation code and/or automation framework
Should have excellent knowledge of UI automation
Knowledge of Selenium and Java is a must
Should have excellent UI automation debugging skills along with browser debugging
Should have knowledge of user experience testing (UX validations)
Experience in test cases creation, execution, and defect reporting
Should be able to review the TCs
Should have experience of handling CI/CD pipeline, Jenkins
Should be able to review the TCs
Ability to perform various types of testing – Install-upgrade, regression, feature testing, UI and UX testing, cross browsers testing
Should have experience working on git and maven
Knowledge and basic working on Unix/ Linux OS
Knowledge of docker, Kubernetes is good to have
Knowledge of Angular is good to have
Knowledge of mobile application testing is good to have
Experience of working directly with customers (resolving product issues, showcasing capabilities of product) is good to have
Good proficiency in English language and excellent communication skills are must
Position requires the candidate to be a quick learner and good team player
Experience in a fast paced, distributed, and agile development environment
