Introduction:
The successful candidate will be a development team member within the SW/GCIS2 agile team, participating in all aspects of the development process, including interaction with Product owner, user story analysis, technical design, implementation, code-reviews, testing, production deployment, and L3 support.
What will you be doing?
Key specific accountabilities.
Following Agile development practice SDLC lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Responsible for designing the database/ Data Mart to meet the modelling requirement.
Responsible for designing end to end data flows from disparate systems and build the ETL data pipeline.
Responsible for Creating Standards and Guidelines for A>I development
Excellent problem solving skills and provide innovative solutions to technical problems.
Designing effective reusable components to improve the development productivity
Optimise the ETLs to reduce the overall execution time
Sound and complex hands-on work experience on Ab Initio GDE.
Troubleshooting and development in other Ab Initio products like Continuous Flow, Express It, Query It, Metadata Hub, Control Center etc
Solid working experience on databases like Teradata, Oracle, MS SQL and Linux/Unix shell scripting.
Writing complex SQL for data processing and data analysis.
Understand concepts of Hadoop and tune A>I product accordingly
Troubleshoot any Ab Initio related problem/error
Provide expertise and continuity across both the business solution and technical solution involving Ab Initio
Following good processes and practices, as defined by the team standards; ensuring that documentation is complete, comprehensive and signed off.
Implement and test technical solutions from specifications to both new and existing systems.
Ensuring code written meets the predefined company and department standards
Involvement in peer reviews with more senior team members in order to provide constructive feedback
Following established process and practices with regards to source code management and audit controls.
Writing release plans and coordinating release walkthroughs with RTB teams and other stakeholders
Acting as a point of contact for support team, investigating and resolving production issues.
What we’re looking for:
Solid software development and design experience using ETL Tool preferably Abinitio, RDBMS like Oracle, MS SQL & Teradata, and Linux/Unix
A degree in engineering, computer science or a quantitative discipline e.g. statistics, physics or mathematics preferred.
Skills that will help you in the role:
9-10+ years of total work software development experience.
General understanding of the full SDLC lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
Strong and hands on experience on A>I GDE and other A>I products like M-Hub, Express It, Control Centre etc.
Working experience on DBMS, SQL and Linux/Unix shell scripting.
Can work independently with minimum supervision and assist development team with technical expertise.
Willingness to broaden skill sets and learn a secondary technology where necessary.
Willingness and capacity to learn complex financial concepts relevant to the role.
Analytical skills; ability to investigate and resolve issues in a high-pressured environment.
