Process Overview
Global Markets Technology & Operations provides end-to-end technology solutions for Global Markets businesses including Equities, Prime Brokerage, Interest Rates, Currencies, Commodities, Derivatives and Structured Products. Across all these products, solutions include architecture, design, development, change management, implementation and support using various enterprise technologies. In addition, GMT&O provides Sales, Electronic Trading, Trade Work Flow, Pricing, Market Risk, Middle office, Collateral Management, Credit Risk, Post-trade confirmation, Settlement and Client service processes for Trading, Capital Markets, and Wealth Management businesses.
The Markets Application Production Services (MAPS) group is a global group responsible for the management of production systems across Global Markets Technology. The group closely interacts with the development and infrastructure teams to manage all changes to the production environment. MAPS has a strong focus on operational excellence and process improvement.
Job Description
The individual will be part of Production support team and will be required to collaborate with both internal and external global teams across various locations for the project delivery. Work as L2 application support team member in Global Markets Traded products applications. Support users on complex technical issues, problems related to supported app, networks, servers and workstations.
Responsibilities
Debug, support & maintain software applications that support business units or supporting functions
Participate in the release, support and implementation of complex applications, often using new technologies
Respond to requests and inquiries from users within the pre-determined timeframe of our service level agreement.
Identify solutions to work around open issues / problems that are under investigation or pending resolution.
Work directly with client technology staff, and end users for any support related issue.
Document, and track, case histories, issues, and actionable steps taken.
Improve documentation of support policies and procedures.
Understand in depth, the business processes supported by the system
Ensure business continuity and quality by owning the resolution of issues. Track the progress and escalate as appropriate
Review and ensuring complete and appropriate handover of documentation prior to operational acceptance of new or changed applications
Requirements
Education: B.E. / B. Tech/M.E. /M. Tech/B.Sc./M.Sc./BCA/MCA (prefer IT/CS specialization)
Certifications, If Any: ITIL V3 Foundation (Not Mandatory)
Experience Range: 4 – 6 years
Foundational skills:
Production support on Technologies & Tools like
Oracle, SQL, PL SQL
Unix, Shell or Perl scripting
Python preferred
ITRS, Autosys, WINSCP, Putty & TOAD
Desired skills:
Experience in Quartz
Bob monitoring, DB browser
QZ Dev, QZ Release & Q Tram
Work Timings: Rotational Shift (07:30 a.m. to 08:30 p.m.) Weekend support on Saturday on Rotational basis (06:30 a.m. to 03:30 p.m.)
