Full Job Description
Candidates will be expected to have worked in a previous Tax Preparation and Filing type function and should be conversant with tools like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. along with that of the VAT Compliance software. If not already doing, you will be encouraged to study ATT (or similar)
Should be Customer focused with excellent communication skills to explain and convey information clearly to the clients.
Working as part of a team and reporting directly to the Supervisor you will be expected to achieve set monthly KPI’s and proactively charge clients for all extra time provided.
Collaborating with all the stakeholders effectively without escalations
Working closely with colleagues to build trusted client relationships in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Ensuring all Tax filing submissions are completed on-time, accurately and to Avalara targets on efficiency and profitability.
Ensuring Applications specific data and reporting is fully up to date.
Maintaining a profitable revenue from extra hours performed on client issues.
Achieving key KPI and billing targets. Follow / Establish strong processes around the Filing tasks across relevant jurisdictions.
Collaborate with other team members to develop and enhance existing procedures. Get the required sign-off prior to implementation.
Assist team in research on VAT updates and queries from tax authorities
Assisting Supervisor in identifying knowledge gaps and facilitating training sessions
Contribute towards further development process activities to make it efficient.
Actively participating in planning of team deliverables for periodic filing cycle / projects along
Ensure up-to-date documentation of Process manuals, SOPs
Provide status reporting against plans/projects
Monitor and escalate possible issues and identify opportunities
Support team for projects in pipeline
Qualifications
EU VAT compliance knowledge and 4-5 years of work experience
Fluent in English (both spoken and written) is a must
Prior Big 4 experience is a plus
Should have a graduate degree / MBA in Finance (preferably) with minimum of 5 years of related experience
MS Excel (intermediary to Advance) skills. Other MS office apps proficiency
Experience in working with onsite teams/stakeholders
Teamwork-oriented with a strong focus on customer satisfaction
Attention to detail, with a drive to continuously improve

Able to work under pressure
Self-driven, result oriented and adhering to deadline
Critical thinking and provide on-time solution
Preferred Qualifications
Studying towards ATT or (similar)
Fluency in other EU languages would be a plus
