Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a reputed university
2+ year of experience in logistics, manufacturing, engineering or similar industry
Strong analytical skills · Master’s degree in business or any other discipline
Experience in working in a fast paced operations environment
Knowledge of city topography and road network is an added advantage
Background in process improvements, knowledge of specific methodologies such as Six Sigma, Kaizen
Lead transportation planning basis requirements from FC/SC/LM stakeholders and work with 3P carriers to develop effective operational plan
Execute daily operations in the form of route monitoring, carrier & vendor outreach, and problem solving for a rapidly growing network.
Continual, tactical communication with external customers (Vendors, Carriers) and internal customers (Retail, Finance, Delivery Stations, Sort Centers)
Lead initiatives to re-engineer business processes and identify and eliminate root causes of defects in order to drive efficiency in Amazon’s transportation operations.
Managing cross-functional initiatives, organizing, and executing complex projects across multiple organizations
Work within various time constraints to meet critical business needs, while measuring and identifying activities performed and ensuring service requirements are met.
Degree in Engineering, Operations, Logistics or related field
5+ years work experience in logistics/transportation industry
Expertise in MS Office and proficiency in Lean and Six Sigma
Experience in manufacturing, transportation, customer service, and/or distribution environments
Data management & data quality control experience with experience pulling and analyzing large sets of data
Demonstrated experience using data to drive root cause elimination and process improvement.
