We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic self-starter to join our team as a D – Bid Specialist. This role will be based at our Atkins office in Bangalore, IN.
About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity for a confident, dedicated Bid Specialist based in Bangalore or beyond to work remotely with our Global Win Work teams in the Atkins North America / EDPM Canada. You will be working with a talented team of Bid Specialist/Win Work professionals, supporting the global win work team.
We are looking for someone who will work with Technical Leads / Bid Managers / Bid Directors and their teams to put up winning proposals with the highest attention to detail for a variety of engineering, infrastructure, architectural design & Project Management projects.
You will be involved in all steps from capture management and win strategy development. From Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) and proposal submission to interview / presentation preparation and debrief sessions. The Bid Specialist Lead provides consistency through the documentation/presentation, is responsible for sharing lessons learnt and enabling continuous improvement in bidding efforts.
Your focus will be helping on producing winning responses to pre-tenders and tenders for project proposals. You will be a strong communicator and a team player, embracing the variety of work and enjoying the buzz of a fast-paced, progressive working environment. You will have a strong portfolio that showcases excellent attention to detail.
How will you contribute to the team?
To perform this role successfully, the candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following:
Owns the proposal development throughout the pursuit from capture management to debrief and maintains the data integrity.
Manages team resources and prioritisation, supervising the team daily.
Facilitates and understand our win strategy and drive this into the bid with best-in-class graphics.
Understand the PQQ/proposal requirements as outlined in the client’s documents and communicates them to the team.
Manages, delegates and executes where appropriate the bid documentation and leads the team through the process, inputting and contributing where appropriate.
Provides a key communications interface across Atkins and between divisions, geographies, technical specialists and partners.
Ensures that resources are discussed, planned and allocated early and, if required, trained in the process.
What will you contribute?
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Marketing/Sales/Commerce/Arts or equivalent / Bachelor’s Degree.
Minimum required level of previous experience of 5 years working in a Work Winning / Bids / Tenders.
Good competence in spoken & written English.
A proven people manager and with excellent people leadership, facilitation, motivation and communication skills.
Quickly able to grasp overall competitive strategy and the details how to implement it.
Proficient in MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint), Adobe Acrobat, and InDesign.
Communication & Verbal Skills –
Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English.
Ability to take clear briefs and communicate progress clearly with Market Directors/Sales Directors and sales teams in the regions.
Able to collaborate and work with the team to earn loyalty and respect.
Able to define and articulate ideas with clarity.
