What you’ll do
Supply management across India distribution network, Adherence to Compliance, SHE and Quality requirements during storage and shipment of goods.
“Competent Person” supervising storage and handling of medicines under 20B & 21B license, as per requirements of D&C act.
Manage Inventory Receipts, accounting, coordinate with cross functional team (CFT) for timely stock availability, Planning stock replenishment to stock points(DC network), develop and manage the logistic service providers to deliver enhanced service quality.
Support AZ key partners to ensure the Distribution service is compliant with AZ and local Pharmaceutical Regulatory requirements.
Keep good communication relationship with internal and external stakeholders to improve distribution service level to full satisfaction of all stakeholders.
Review and revise Standard Operating procedures to align distribution function, with the current quality and compliance manual. Manage all internal, external SHE, Quality and commercial Audits at Bangalore central warehouse and support other DC Audits. Management of change implementations, Route risk, deviation, corrective action (CAPA) closures and Complaint handling.
Training and coaching DC team to ensure operations as per policy requirement.
Job Responsibilities
Technical:
Monitor the Distribution Logistic service providers Customer service performance are in line with Contract and SLA
Primary Freight Management (Develop, monitor and periodical review)
Route Risk Assessment for Primary and secondary transportation.
Operations: (Stock Receipt accounting and Distribution)
Actively manage the key performance areas of safety, quality and customer service with in the India stock points:
Distribution
Stock Replenishment planning and execution.
Inbound stock receipt at DC level-Imports.
Inbound and outbound Stock management, accounting process of inter DC Transfers.
Ensure no stock outs at Depot level.
Managing stock Returns.
Managing Deviations for timely closure and implementation of CAPA’s (corrective and preventive actions).
Performance of validation activities on storage and shipments.
Monitoring and clearance of Freight expenses.
Compliance to tax (GST/E way bills) rules while invoicing and dispatches.
Alerting Marketing team on slow moving/ near expiry stock status for liquidation.
Tracking stocks under letter of guarantee (import receipts)
Reviewing temperature excursions/ damages/shortages if any and ensuring that complaint is raised for the same for all import consignments.
Managing Change controls.
Statutory control submissions in compliance tool.
Providing consolidated provision for stock write off (Bangalore CWH & Depots)
Inputs to ensure adequate Insurance coverage for inventory (Depot wise)
Route Risk Assessment for primary and secondary transportation.
Handling Product Recalls for all levels by complete reconciliation of product, quick action to get the stocks/responses from depots.
FCF (finance control framework) submissions relevant to warehouse activities.
Preparation and periodic review of local SOPs relevant to distribution as per QCM guidelines.
Managing rework related distribution activities.
Customer Service
Providing visibility of stocks to sales and marketing team.
Providing required support/ information’s to site Regulatory team & Depots in terms of providing COA , Import details, recalls if any etc.
Coordination for the yearly mock recall activities and closure of the same.
Updating Sales and Marketing team on stock availabilities across stock points periodically.
Handling distribution relevant activities for Clinical trial, Regulatory, testing requirements.

Education, Qualification and Experience
Essential
Graduate in any discipline.
5-6 years’ experience with in supply chain/logistics role preferably with Pharma industry.
Fluent in English both Spoken and Written and Knowledge of Hindi language (Spoken)
Experience in Good Distribution Practice.
Knowledge on Regulatory and commercial documentation requirements.
Experience in dealing with 3rd party warehousing and distribution
Inventory Management practices
Desirable
Certifications in supply chain
Knowledge of GDP, GMP, relevant Government Legislation
SAP SOTC & PTP knowledge and usage experience
People Management Responsibility
