Job description summary:
The ServiceNow product owner will be accountable for the overall ownership of the HR ServiceNow product strategy, vision, roadmap and value creation. The role will work closely with our People Services, GPO community and our supporting ServiceNow platform team, to deliver digital HR transformation and improved employee experience across our HR business processes.
The ServiceNow product owner will continuously monitor and deliver improvements to the digital experience across the business processes and take ownership for monitoring the value realisation and reviewing the value against competitor products.
Responsible for representing HR in the cross functional employee service centre project. Longer term ecosystem owner – monitoring and managing adoption of the new portal
Strong consultative partner to the global process owners and people services team, to holistically own the employee experience in the portal and continuously review and improve process performance and service delivery
Take ownership for the user experience and make changes where necessary, fully understanding the global view of the product, ensuring all users across all geographies have a great product experience
Work closely with the Adoption, Knowledge & Case/Catalogue Leads to monitor and drive faster adoption and usage of deployed functionality globally
Responsible for coordinating the continued development of the key platform functionality with the People Services team and our global process owner network, including Virtual assistant, campaigns and life cycle events
Act as the overall HR product owner for the ServiceNow platform team, taking accountability for managing all HR demand:
Represent the needs of the business in this space
Managing and defining product functionality
Prioritising demand and clearly identifying benefits/return on investment
Ensuring that the product backlog is clear, visible and understood
Owning and ensuring quality of user stories delivered by HR
Planning and executing testing for demand and platform upgrades
Ensuring resource is available in the business for each key stage of the demand delivery
Co-ownership of BAU delivery
Work with the HCM product owner and other digital platform owners to ensure a seamless experience for employees across our core HR platforms
Lead the development of any cross-functional process/employee journey development initiated on the platform
Participate in all product/platform related project activities
Play a significant role in the HR technology governance process and represent ServiceNow HR platform in this forum, ensuring appropriate preparation for monthly and bi-annual CoE meetings
Skills & experience
The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter who is passionate about people and digital culture.
Experience of working with ServiceNow in a product owner capacity or equivalent other proven experience
Practitioner level knowledge of evolving ServiceNow to support an HR organisation
Solid understanding of ServiceNow components such as service catalogue, reporting virtual agent, case management, portal, knowledge etc.
Great influencing and stakeholder management skills
Great communication and interpersonal skills, able to build effective relationships and work collaboratively with our global process owners and business partners
Experience of managing projects/programmes in a large global organisation
Ability to understand business priorities and align technology opportunities
Ability to prioritize workload and provide timely follow-up and resolution
Ability to motivate and set the direction for a (not direct report) team
Experience of working in a complex, global matrix organisation
Nice to have:
Experience in HR information system management
Knowledge of other HR Systems
Knowledge of Agile methodology of experience working in an Agile way
