Role Description
Job Purpose
To handle the area of transportation of finished goods from plants/OPCs/TLs to TLs/Depots. The scope includs Freight Negotiation, intransit damage reduction data collation and analysis.

Key Performance Indicators
Ø Float Freight Request for Quotations as per Distribution Requirements and conduct Negotiations to vendors to achieve optimum cost
Ø Market truck arrangement, rate updation, annexure management and related penalties
Ø Dispatch plan analysis to identify potential issues in vehicle placements and take preventive action
Ø Tracking and closure of statutory cases related to insurance and vehicle detentions by Government authorities
Ø Intransit damage analysis, reporting and actioning for damage reduction
Ø Transit Efficiency analysis, reporting and actioning for improvement
Ø Working with reporting manager for floating RFQ for negotiation, collation of quotes, benchmarking and annexure management post negotiation
Ø Tracking of payment status, analysis of daily tracking sheet, closure of pending service entries
Ø Analysis in the area of Cost Per Tonne, Cross Flow, Dispatch Percentage
Ø Identification of issues in payment and reduction of issues over time to achieve 100% timely payment performance
Ø Individually handling cost savings and efficiency improvement projects in the area of transportation
