Role Description
Job Purpose
Ensuring placement efficiency of vehicles for movement of raw materials across the country (ex-works vendor dispatches, inter-plant RM transfers, port to plant transfers etc.)
Liaise with 40+ logistics service providers (transporters) for ensuring placement efficiency
Report and monitor allied transportation-related aspects viz. vehicular non-compliances at plants, insurance cases etc.
To ensure prompt clearance of freight bills and to extensively interact with SSC in this regard

Servicing
Daily monitoring of ordered Vs placed vehicles, liasoning with transporters, follow-ups in ensuring there are no placement defaults.
Calling quotes and sharing details with seniors for quote finalization.
Ensure service entries are created by plants for all IPTMS.
Min 90 % placement efficiency at company level
Payment Performance
Calling of quarterly outstanding statements in prescribed format.
Co-ordinating with transporters & SSC for resolution of problems and ensuring timely clearance of freight bills within defined credit days.
Min 90% on-time payment to transporters at company level
Freight contract Management
Preparation of freight rate upload file, Error free freight rate uploads, maintenance of various QRs and MF in records for Audit sake, maintenance of filenet documents

Review regularly to ensure insurance cases are settled in time & none missed out
