Full Job Description
As Cloud DevOps Engineer within Technology Operations Services Group (TOSG), you will help automate and implement innovative services, infrastructure, and high performance compute to the engineering community within Arm as well as help our team establish DevOps practice.
In this role we will be instrumental in deploying and operating the future of Arm’s Global Infrastructure & Platforms with a key focus on creating a multi cloud capability. This will be achieved through build, integrate, testing and support activities, including but not limited to:
Actively work on security incident management, change assessments, vulnerability management, security monitoring, key management, managing waivers/exceptions among other domains
Assist with the high level design of new security tools/services in a multi-cloud platform environment
Build scalable and efficient large cloud infrastructure through automation and IaC
Build and maintain highly available production systems
Develop, test, code review and maintain internal Cloud applications
Monitoring for automated system health checks
Run cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
Solve incidents, identify root cause, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
Job Requirements:
Skills, experience and qualifications needed:
Minimum 5 years consistent track record as a Cloud DevOps Engineer with very strong background on AWS, with services like Security Hub, AWS Config, Systems Manager and CloudTrail
Experience with AWS Organizations and Service Control Policies
Landing Zone or Control Tower experience
Ability to develop software in Python or Java
Solid experience on running production infrastructure as a code with Terraform
Strong understanding of Networking and troubleshooting (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching, firewalls, LAN/WAN)
Customer-facing experience; you need to be confident and credible in front of a customer and express complex ideas clearly
Problem solving skills with a solid understanding of fault logging, tracking and resolution
Attention to detail and ability to co-ordinate cross-organisation problem solving
Ability to prioritise and manage your own workload
Ability to present and communicate the architecture in a visual form
Strong IT operational support skills
Highly proficient interpersonal skills.
Skills, experience and qualifications desired:
AWS DevOps or Solutions Architect Professional certification
Configuration Management experience such as Ansible, Puppet, or similar
System Administration experience with Linux
Experience with DevOps techniques such as building a CI/CD pipeline from scratch and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles
Professional experience:
Meaningful experience in a distributed team
Working in a sophisticated, multi-geography, engineering services environment
Providing technical support and mentoring to others.
