Day Shift 9AM-6PM; Desk job (travel may be required to meet with onshore project team, stakeholders/ clients. Might have to stretch beyond regular work hours at times.)
Scope
Work Description/Role Summary: (Brief 4-5 line description of the role )
Working with software and R&D team to install the ELEMENTS product on multiple servers for Impact Forecasting team and for the Aon clientsPrepared the required server and install the ELEMENTS product on Windows Server, Linux Server and AWS environment on cloud datacenterInstall SQL Server and maintain the various databasesTroubleshoot the installation issues on Aon Servers and on the Server machines for the clientsHave regular connect with AON IT to apply the patches, service releases and updates on the servers.
Role overview: (Detailed role description 10-12 lines)
Provide application support of our award-winning ELEMENTS catastrophe modelling platform.
Installs, configures, and tests operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
Provide help in client-side deployments.
Problem determination, workaround resolution, root cause analysis, major incident management
Monitoring and maintain all systems and servers
Deployment of service releases, patches, requests and customizations.
Oversee the constant availability of system resources.
Troubleshooting server-side issues as they arise
Skills & Knowledge Requirements:
Working knowledge of SQL Server. Install, configure and maintain the SQL Servers.
Practical experience of Windows Server, Linux Server, IIS and basic networking.
Experience with virtualization and containerization (Docker container applications)
Working knowledge on AWS, Azure and other cloud deployments.
Ability to diagnose & address application issues/Operating system issues.
Possess good analytical & debugging skills
Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members
