Summary of the role
Are you the Software Development Engineer we’re looking for? Are you a recent graduate with experience in Java and Objected Oriented Programming? Then you’re the person we’re looking for!
You’ll be designing, coding, debugging, documenting and maintaining software to shape the way the world moves. You’ll be joining one of the world’s top 10 software to power better journeys.
The department plays a key role in TPE organization to deliver an automated logging, monitoring. Event management and tracing solutions supporting incident and problem management processes and applications. Within this department, LAP (Logging and Analytics Platform) team manages Logging platform that manages more than 3PB per day of log data. This framework is composed by the Logging Client APIs (Tracer, JTracer, etc), Log servers and Splunk , Billing Framework leveraging on logging middleware and on Kafka technology. Concealment engine taking care of concealing all sensitive data in the logs (Credit cards, Personal information, etc.) We are working closely with our SRE team in DevOps mode and this will be fostered with LogOps agile setup that will start soon and TPE SAFe organization. This job position corresponds to several challenges / projects around Splunk focusing on Logging consolidation, Logging as a Service and Global Logging.
Your main responsibilities

Come up with plans to create new software or improve what we have
Model, design and implement databases as necessary
Use your technical skills to give users what they’re after. You’ll do that by:
Designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting and maintaining software solutions
Designing technical solutions and perform feasibility studies
Developing your software to follow our standards and quality guidelines
Check your solutions work. You’ll:
Run unit, package and performance tests
Go through the phase of checking your software works for other people
Fine-tune your software as a result of all your testing
Help get your software out into the world. You’ll:
Create documents to help our departments use your software
Debug software based on Problem Tracking Records and Change Requests from Product Management and Product Definition
About the ideal candidate
University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
Professional programming experience in Java/ J2EE technologies, MySQL, Sprint Boot Framework, RESTful Services, Swagger
Experience with Python is a plus.
Experience in designing and developing software programs.
Open to learn new things
OpenShift/Kubernetes knowledge.
Experience in Automation (CI/CD) is a plus (ansible; Bitbucket; Jenkins).
Experience with Agile / DevOps is a plus.
Experience with Splunk is a plus.
Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
Design technical solutions and perform feasibility studies.
Propose viable technical solutions to Product Management and/or users for validation.
Develop software according to Amadeus Standards. Conduct unit, package and performance tests of the software and ensure a level of quality in line with the Amadeus guidelines.
Participate in the validation / acceptance phase of the product cycle ensuring the fine-tuning necessary to finalizes the product.
