OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
This position is a full time job within Maintenance Engineering Team. Alstom will supply a 800 double BoBo locomotive and operate full maintenance activity on first 250 locomotives over 18 years plus Technical Support and Spare Supply for second batch of 250 locomotives over 4 years to his customer. The 2 first batch fleet will be spread in 2 depots, remaining 300 locomotives over India country. This job consists to put in place all action plans needed in order to comply with contract‘s reliability and availability targets, as Life Cycle Cost Management with a specific focus on diagnostic design, to be troubleshooting oriented. Act as site Maintenance Engineering representative other deliverable as training support are expected to achieve a smooth maintenance start once first locos will operate
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Identify the performance allocation in compliancy with DFS target.
Define maintenance plan and design of LSA elements (MTA, LCC, LORA, RCM)
Define spare part allocation for first provisional (LAI)
Validation of support solution and associated maintenance documentation or training toolkit.
Capitalize data in central ISR repository (ILS PDM)
Manage LSA team, the workload and size the team accordingly
Manage LSA activities to deliver QCD commitments in coordination with the ISR Management plan
Write LSA Management plan
Ensure technical interfaces with RS, Components, Signaling and Infra teams (RAMS Architect, mechanical, electrical & system architect, sourcing, LSA for equipment and from suppliers)
Ensure that DFS is correctly applied on Sub System (Component Site)
Ensure REX is collected and considered,
Manage Definition of Logistic Breakdown Structure (LBS) in consistency with Design Engineering BOM definition.
Elaborate maintenance plan
Elaborate LCC calculations and analysed
Manage relationship with sourcing for ISR requirement clauses linked to sourcing concern.
Ensure LSA database (ILS PDM) is defined and completed correctly
Ensure compliancy between Spar Part consumption model and maintenance strategy.
Validate content of the technical maintenance documentation and training toolkit.
Develop & Monitor Prognostic Health Monitoring (PHM) approach
Develop & Monitor Reliability Centered Maintenance and condition monitoring of the Locomotive to improve LCC.
Set-up part codification for Spare parts needs.
Support in all the test trial during Service
Support PM and CM from MTA, tool availability, spare parts requirement etc
Develop Return of Experience on the Maintenance Engineering activities.
Support sourcing and develop parts specification to improve performance.
LCC Improvement and follow the actual with the baselines to avoid degradations.
Follow Loco technical design; propose simple solution to improve sub-system reliability and availability.
Assist trouble shooters and PRT for the necessary diagnostic of defective locomotive.
Support Helpline and co-ordinate activities to Maintenance sites
Qualifications & Skills:
EDUCATION
Minimum of engineering degree from Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics or equivalent.

TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES & EXPERIENCE
Min 6+ Years of experience in a relevant railway related engineering role.
Experience on PHM, CBM & RCM based maintenance.
Experience in Locomotive Maintenance & Warranty Support.
Previous LCC experience
Good understanding of train maintenance requirements and costs
Previous vehicle reliability/safety engineering experience, preferably in a railway background.
Language Skills: Proficient in English language,
