Job Description:
The jobholder will be supporting the A220 aircraft programs in the capacity of MRB, Materials and Processes specialist.
The candidate will review, make recommendations and provide final MRB (Material Review Board) M&P approvals of reworks and repairs on manufacturing defects.
Recommendations and justifications on acceptance of defects without repair.
Removal and replacement of damaged parts with justification.
The technical solutions to be established for metallic and composite structures.
In your role, you will:
Work in close collaboration with A220 Plant M&P Engineer and liaison team by providing timely M&P technical expertise / dispositions to a variety of manufacturing and assembly issues;
You will be responsible to ensure that reworks and repairs meet all material and processes requirements;
Engage with Stress engineering MRB specialists to ensure coordinated dispositions are provided thus making sure the structural integrity of the airframe is maintained for the life of the aircraft;
Engage with the M&P Core specialists team to resolve key technical issues;
Support the delivery process by providing technical expertise to delivery teams and external customers;
Exchange information and collaborate with other Manufacturing/Assembly Plant sites (Mirabel and Mobile) to ensure sharing of technical knowledge;
Document dispositions on M&P work files;
This job opening is for supporting the FAL day shift, however you might be asked to support the evening shift as well as the weekends on a rotation basis.
Required Domain Expertise:
Graduate/Post Graduate Engineer (Materials/Metallurgy/Chemical/Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering) with 5-8 yrs experience
You have experience in Aerospace industry directly related to metallic and composite materials use in Aircraft Structures. Previous experience with certification of a new aircraft is an asset;
You have Material Review Board (MRB) experience;
You have a profound knowledge of CATIA V5 and MS Office;
You are able to work in a cross functional team environment and interact on a daily basis with other professionals and technicians;
You have a good command of English language (written and spoken) is required.
