Job summary
Amazon’s Ops Tech IT Supply Chain team is looking for a Supply Planner for APAC region. This position is responsible for the accuracy and timeliness of the buy plan process for the APAC region which ensures supply availability against future demand that is at risk due to global supply chain disruptions.
Duties include a specific focus on consuming forecast, ensuring inventory/supply availability to meet demand, creation of 30/60/90 day supply plans which are broken down into weekly outbound orders for order fulfillment. This position is also responsible for ensuring complete end to end Prime and Peak demand & supply planning for OpsTech IT supply chain’s customers to deliver on time and in full ahead of required dates. Maintaining and building strong relationships with Fulfillment, Assembly, Inventory and Procurement teams. Managing stakeholder expectations both internally and externally to ensure alignment and the customer orders are met in full and on time.
This position will use end to end supply chain processes including demand & supply planning, inventory strategies, manufacturing SOPs and logistics. The Supply Planner will use strong bias for action to deliver results for the customer.
Key job responsibilities
Work with customers directly and Product Management teams to ensure BOMs are accurate for execution of buy plans.
Work with capital planning groups to ensure optimal capital appropriation is funded for supply/inventory.
Manage order placement with Buyers and order tracking to optimize on-time shipping, fill rate, and lead time, particularly focusing on meeting/exceeding customer expectations
Support system inputs to achieve highly automated Buy plan creation process.
Troubleshoot gaps in Buy Plans and drive resolution or mitigation strategies
Own & drive the technical roadmap for Supply Planning metrics
Master’s Degree
A strong understanding of data analysis and demonstrated success in driving processes is required.
Ability to work in a fast-paced ambiguous environment while prioritizing and managing multiple responsibilities
Leadership, facilitation skills, strong written and verbal communication skills- to work internally and externally at all levels of management and with peers, computer skills, analytical skills, able to analyze data and draw conclusions & make recommendations, problem solving skills, thorough understanding of financial practices
Detailed Knowledge of Supply Planning, Procurement, MRP (materials requirements planning) Systems within a Supply Chain Organization
APICS (CSCP or CPIM), S&OP, or Six Sigma Certification with an understanding of Lean Manufacturing processes
Tableau experience
Track record driving performance improvement and change management initiatives
Several years of experience in supply chain (S&OP, transportation, Inventory management, etc.)
Experience with SQL and Python is a Plus
