As Sr. Systems Engineer in Pune , you will join a diverse, passionate team, dedicated to making possibilities happen in the payments industry!
This purpose of this ROLE is:
Implements, configures and plays a lead role in the design of complex systems for internal and external customers. Assists in performing analysis on existing systems as well as system maintenance. Determines system specifications, input/output processes and working parameters for hardware/software compatibility. Coordinates
design of subsystems and integration of total system. Identifies, analyzes and resolves program support deficiencies. Develops and recommends corrective actions.
A Typical day at ACI for Sr. Systems Engineer is:
Understand and Adhere to all Corporate Policies to include but not limited to ACI Code of Ethics and Global Information Security.
Engineers, configures, and assists in the architecting of complex technical solutions for applications/systems implementations and upgrades based on specific business requirements. Solutions may be new, existing, in-house, third party or a combination.
Researches and evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company’s products. Assists in the formulation and execution of test plans for Proof of Concepts.
Performs day-to-day and complex system administration and monitoring tasks for assigned systems. Works with internal and external customers and vendors to resolve technical system problems in a timely manner with a primary focus on complex problems.
The automation engineer is dedicated to improving the reliability and security of IT services through automation of workload and process improvements. Automation engineers must be nimble to act but think long term as and must be able to change priorities if the business needs are greater than the current tasks, but keep focused to produce results. Identify areas of improvement and work with management to build solutions. Collaborate with other IT and business unit leadership to understand the priority items that need to be transformed. Document the current state of the service to be improved. Plan improvement and include key members of the organization to ensure that the solution will meet the needs of the business.
Test for desired results during implementation of improvement to ensure that the solution is in line with the requirements. Ensure that all improvement efforts are documented and there is consistent reporting of status to show the progress of inflight projects and the results of completed improvements. Train and mentor operational groups on improvements and how it will impact their workload. A successful automation engineer in this position would understand automation practices, persistence in being a change agent to help transform IT to a center of excellence, a collaborative partner with other teams in IT and outside the organization, as well as a good working knowledge of Agile Development.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience needed to succeed in this role:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of technical experience in product architecture and/or production IT environment
Experience with .NET, PowerShell/PowerCLI and Database development & administration
Previous experience in designing and/or implementing systems with a focus on scalability and high availability
Experience with configuring and troubleshooting development and production environments.
