Job Purpose/Summary
The Senior Software Developer position works closely with all members of the IT department to ensure that all applications are bug free, innovative and adhere to the business requirements. In this role, the candidate will work as a member of the development team on application development, script development, site maintenance and application support. The Senior Applications Developer will take an active leadership role in the development department and will be responsible for ensuring application security and release standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Design/Development/Deployment of system applications. This involves assisting the business in requirements definition, presenting solutions, providing estimates and development and implementation of applications
Builds collaborative solutions to complex business requirements ensuring security, data and coding standards are met
Full life cycle management of Applications developed from concept to delivery follow up and maintenance; estimating requests for sizing and feasibility
Documentation, including functional and design specifications for applications to be developed

Superior logic driven solution creation with a reusability approach
Acts as a good steward of data ensuring proper attention is given to care, maintenance and cleaning of the data used by the solutions produced
Ensures user experiences are consistent across all application platforms

Education
Post-Secondary Education IT related degree
Relevant IT related training/certifications (MCSA, MCSD, etc.)
Experience
Minimum of 10 years fast-paced systems development, testing and implementation
Working knowledge of financial systems design, constraints and secure security coding practices
Superior knowledge in .NET and SQL software development
Experience working in Agile environments required
Experience working in Scaled Agile preferred
