Full Job Description
As an Associate QA Analyst at SHL, you will primarily be responsible for testing system/solution builds for our clients’ talent acquisition processes on SHL’s platforms, testing predominantly Content on our various platforms to ensure their accuracy based on specifications and mock-up documents. You will be expected to use your technical and functional testing expertise to understand the QA process, manage information coming from various sources to resolve any QA issues, and carry out your QA tasks (e.g. executing test scripts/plans, identifying defects, running regression tests, verifying fixes etc.) to a consistently high level whilst continually following SHL’s Central Professional Services QA processes and procedures throughout the product lifecycle. You will report into the QA Manager and indirectly into the CPS Delivery Director, ensuring efficient and timely communication throughout the lifecycle of each project.
As an Associate QA Analyst, you will:
Execute test cases and test scripts based on requirements, established processes and existing system knowledge within timelines imparted.
Identify, enter, update and manage issues in defect tracking system until resolution.
Run regression tests and verify fixes.
Provide QA sign off on CPS offerings.
Liaise with Project Manager to identify potential issues, gather feedback, and confirm defects.
Conduct functional testing of changes, upgrades and new applications.
Work closely with the internal professional services, technology and project management teams.
Work closely with external development partners to ensure timely and accurate delivery of work pending test.
Analyse and operate basic troubleshooting of issues or novel situations using common sense and initiative.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
Essential:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems
Interest in QA and developing test scripts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent ability to plan and organise own work to meet client delivery pressures
Strong and demonstrable problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to work independently and proactively to ensure delivery is met across time zones
Ability to manage projects and information from various sources
Basic SQL knowledge
Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office suite
Desirable:
Basic knowledge of any bug tracking software such as JIRA or QC
