We at the Prime Video International (PVI) team obsess about giving our customers the widest selection of content in a language of their choice. Our team works on customers behalf to determine the next set of languages to offer, and builds ground up and industry leading technology to deliver a fully local user experience to our growing base of international customers. Specifically, we own the product vision and roadmap for the localization tools that allow the standardization and automation of dubbing, subtitles, close captions, audio descriptions, and metadata at scale across all content types, and across 30+ languages that we support in Prime Video. Our product suite is used by Amazon Studios, Prime Video, and our various industry partners to create localized experience for our customers.
We are looking for experienced Business Intelligence Engineers who are excited to be part of industry leading, next generation localization systems at Prime Video. These are Engineers whom are able to look at the big picture from both a business and a technical perspective. As a Business Intelligence Engineer you will be gathering business requirements and creating BI and analytics solutions that have measurable customer impact, and demonstrating exemplary written and verbal communication skills. You will have to set the right vision, strategy and roadmap and work alongside with stakeholders in the organization to make it happen. You know and love working with business intelligence tools, can model multidimensional datasets, and can partner effectively with business leaders to answer key business questions.
You will work in a fast-paced environment and deliver artefacts in fast iterations towards an ideal solution. Your ability to work through ambiguity and develop scalable, and high-performance solutions is essential. You will have opportunities to influence software systems and work directly with business stakeholders. In addition, successful candidates will be able to lead by example, balance reporting responsibilities while participating in cross-team efforts including business goals roadmaps and planning.
Primary Responsibilities
Engage with leadership and diversified customer groups to understand the needs and recommend business intelligence solutions.Partner with Data and Software engineering team to define the data elements and data structure that the team should leverage to enable analytical capabilities.Design, implement, and support platforms that provide business teams ad-hoc access to large datasets (eg data visualization tools for non-tech business users)Interface with business customers, gathering requirements and delivering complete reporting solutions.Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions.Support and enhance, stakeholder experience and models of optimization decisions in multiple production planning systems.Participate in strategic & tactical planning discussions.Standardize data and report consumption across all customer groups.Make recommendations for new metrics, techniques, and strategies to improve the operational and quality metrics.Be connected and influential within the Amazon BI community.
